Performing swingin' standards and hip original tunes to please every music lover, Anna has been wowing audiences with her evocative vocal stylings and impressive interpretations for 15 years.

 

Highly trained and with wide musical experience, Anna Gilkison has developed a unique sound influenced by the crooners of old and the divas of today. 

 

Anna's love of music developed early, nutured by an extended family of accomplished musicians who love nothing more than a good old fashioned sing-a-long.  Her early years were spent listening to some of  the great singers - Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day, Frank Sinatra and Nina Simone, and later contemporary Australian singers - Grace Knight, Vince Jones, Kate Cebrano and Nina Ferro. 

Inspired by these great performers, Anna began performing in 1999. She has studied with some of Australia and the USA's premier jazz vocalists, including Julie O'Hara, Michelle Nicolle, Emma Gilmartin and Alison Wedding,

 

Anna is also an accomplished pianist and  band leader,  who is highly sought for corporate function bookings and celebrations.
